MESA NEWS!
Natomas Middle:
Several Natomas Middle School students participated in the Sac State/UC Davis MESA competition held at Sac State on March 17, 2012. Students entered projects in mousetrap cars, popsicle stick bridges, Lego Robotics, gliders, egg drops, and science speeches. The students represented themselves and Natomas Middle School respectfully. Our students competed against others schools throughout the Sacramento area who had 4 more months to prepare for this competition. W are impressed at their determination in completing their projects and showing competitive sportsmanship at the competition.
In addition to the projects that students enter, there was also a solo mathematics competition that each student participated in. We are extremely proud to announce that Angel Hernandez took 1st place in middle school Geometry! Angel will be a delegate representing the entire Sac State/UC Davis MESA in Geometry at the MESA Regional Competition hosted by San Jose State University on April 7, 2012.
