Attendance Accounting
The District gets the majority of its funding through the Revenue Limit from student attendance. The Revenue Limit is calculated based on "average daily attendance", (ADA). One ADA is projected to be $5,038.39. The District earns approximately $28.79 for each day a student attends school, and receives nothing if the student is absent - regardless of the reason for the absence. This is the money that pays for almost everything - all staff salaries, benefits, utilities, supplies, insurance, site funds, etc.
In order for a District to receive the ADA money, it must file attendance reports with the State. The District uses the PowerSchool attendance software system to track student attendance for reporting purposes. Each site is responsible for inputting attendance data into the PowerSchool system.
The District provides support services to assist the sites to meet their reporting deadlines.
