Maintaining a secure and safe learning environment is our top priority! This
means knowing who is on our campus at all times during the school day.
Please remember--
all school visitors
must check in at the front office and secure a visitors badge before entering
the campus during school hours. This includes parents, coaches, volunteers,
etc. Anyone entering our campus who is not a Heron student or staff
member will be stopped and sent to the office by administration. Your
understanding and cooperation in our efforts is greatly appreciated.
Together, we can keep our kids safe!
Heron School is excited
to announce that we are the recipient of the Sacramento Kings Foundation's, "Play
Smart, Be Smart" Grant!Our Science
Cadre Team applied for this grant in the fall.We were awarded the grant for over $8,000 to update, refurbish and
enhance our science labs. We will be purchasing materials, teaching
units and equipment to make our science labs more teacher and
experiment-friendly, with labs and units that are ready to access and deliver
by grade level.
I am so proud of
this staff, and Heron's continued commitment to continually improve our
programs and opportunities for students.
Great work!-

NEW ENROLLMENT PREFERENCE WEB PAGE Natomas
Unified is utilizing an online portal to gather prospective enrollment
information for the next school year. The Enrollment Preference Portal
is accessible at www.gonusd.com
and has been designed by District staff to gather enrollment
preferences from families. The enrollment preferences include the
desired school for your child in the 2013-2014 school year. Information
collected through the portal will be used in our work to identify
future space and availability at our school sites. The data is for
informational purposes only and does not make any commitment or
guarantee to families that the desired school will be available. But
the data will help us communicate with families better and maximize our
school space for our students and families. Log-on now and tell us your
preference.
